Every minute counts when it comes to helping Panthers succeed.
So it’s with the greatest urgency that we ask you to please make a tax- deductible year-end gift to the West High Alumni Association.
There’s no more important day of the year to support our mission to help more Panthers pursue their educational goals, preserve our alma mater’s history and celebrate alumni in the community.
Remember, the West High Alumni Association is run entirely by volunteers and relies exclusively on your generosity to award nearly $100,000 in scholarships each year to deserving Panthers.
Your gift—whether it is $10 or $500—plays a critical role in helping West High Panthers who face adversity in pursuing a post-high school education. Approximately 65% of current West High students come from low-income backgrounds. As an Alumni Association, we are proud to say that your generosity in 2018 enabled 80% of our scholarship recipients to overcome the odds and become the first person in their family to attend college.
However, your support is needed more than ever. Last year we were only able to award scholarships to just 3 in 10 Panthers who applied to our senior scholarship program. That fact shows how urgently needed West High Alumni Association’s work is – and why we need your gift today.
